Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies
A forum for public and private agencies involved in supplying water to domestic, commercial, industrial and agricultural users in the Fresno metropolitan area. Bimonthly meetings are convened to address water issues that are best served by cooperative effort and solutions.
Bakman Water Company
A privately owned water utility company that provides both residential and commercial water service in southeast Fresno.
California State Department of Water Resources
A state agency that manages California's water resources in cooperation with other agencies to benefit the State's people and to protect, restore and enhance natural and human environments.
Center for Irrigation Technology, CSU Fresno
An independent research and testing facility at California State University, Fresno that assists designers, manufacturers and users of irrigation equipment in making technological advances required for our growing, changing world.
City of Clovis Public Utilities Department
A domestic water supplier to customers within the City of Clovis and Tarpey Village.
City of Fresno Water and Wastewater Divisions
Divisions of the City of Fresno Public Utilities Department that provide urban water service and wastewater treatment.
County of Fresno, Department of Public Works and Planning
A county department that provides long-range regional water planning, water management, surface water supplies and water service delivery for the Fresno County service areas and waterworks districts.
The Discovery Center
A 7-acre, interactive science park in Fresno where children, families and schools learn about nature, science, regional history and the world around us. Open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Fresno County Farm Bureau
A non-profit membership organization founded in 1917 to promote and protect agriculture through advocacy and outreach activities.
Fresno Irrigation District
An irrigation district in Fresno County that supplies water for agriculture and urban underground percolation.
Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District
A public agency that provides flood control, drainage service, water conservation and recreational areas for the Fresno-Clovis Metropolitan Area. The District also provides Clean Water Act compliance assistance to businesses and industries, which are subject to storm water related regulations.
Kings River Conservation District
A public agency providing flood protection, water resource management, power resource development and environmental stewardship in the Kings River area in parts of Fresno, Kings and Tulare counties.
Kings River Water Association
An association that administers the water rights and the deliveries to the 28 irrigation districts and mutual water companies that distribute Kings River water to users in portions of Fresno, Kings and Tulare counties.
Malaga County Water District
A water utility that supplies water and operates the wastewater treatment facility for the town of Malaga in Fresno County.
United States Army Corps of Engineers, Pine Flat Dam
A federal agency that owns and operates Pine Flat Dam. The Corps oversees reservoir recreation opportunities such as camping, boating and fishing. Dam tours and ranger programs are scheduled upon request.
United States Bureau of Reclamation
Department of Interior agency created to develop water resources in the western United States. The mission was recently expanded to include environmentally sound resource management of water projects. The Bureau administers the Central Valley Project (CVP).
